Ever heard of Klavar? Well you have now but don’t expect to hear their name on the top of an all time greats list. It’s not where they want to be and as Klavar are more of a duo than a band the two members are aiming their music at anybody that wants to listen, rather than try to influence millions of people.

The album begins quietly enticing you to wait and hear the first array of electronic beats and effects. When Dispursed Reality finally begins it creates a dark moody sound that never really opens up throughout the whole song. And this seems to be the outline for the album.

As the album progresses its whole sound emerges as one that plays together well but at the same time each song stands out as its own track. Most of the songs start with the slow individual track creating the scene for the song and as a multitude of effects blend and mix the song progresses to a high point and then descends towards the end. It’s fair to say, when everything is playing in time that it all ties in well but it begins to gradually sound the same after the half way stage of the album.

Here is an album that needs to be played in the right environment for it to make a decent effect on the listener. If this album was played to a rowdy bunch of football hooligans then it would go down worse than a dry bar at a stag do. But if you just happened to hear Dispursed Reality playing from a stall in Camden or the Glastonbury dance tent then it would feel very much at home. This album has its moments but if your looking for a Dispersed Reality then your probably better off heading to Amsterdam.
